To celebrate and commemorate David Hume, John Duns Scotus and the association of the historic county of Berwickshire with significant figures of the Scottish Enlightenment and the development of philosophy and ideas. To stimulate and provide opportunity for unfettered thinking in regard to today’s issues as laid out in the attached Appendix 1
